Statement by the Secretary General of TURKPA on the Occasion of the Republic Day of the Republic of Türkiye

On behalf of the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) and in my personal capacity, I have the honour to extend my sincere congratulations to the Government and the brotherly people of the Republic of Türkiye on the occasion of Republic Day, celebrated on 29 October.
Republic Day commemorates the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye in 1923 and symbolizes the enduring values of national unity, independence and solidarity, as well as the continued commitment of the Turkish people to promoting peace, stability and international cooperation through constructive dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
Highly valuing Türkiye’s significant contribution to strengthening ties and fostering solidarity among the Turkic States, TURKPA reaffirms its commitment to further deepening cooperation and advancing our shared goals for the benefit of the Turkic World.
On this auspicious occasion, I wish the Government and the brotherly people of the Republic of Türkiye peace, prosperity, well-being and continued success.
