Message of the TURKPA Secretariat on the Day of Remembrance of Khojaly Genocide

Despite the passage of 33 years, the pain of the Khojaly Genocide remains unforgotten, and its anguish has not faded. The memory of every innocent civilian brutally massacred in this heinous crime against humanity, remains an unhealed wound in our hearts. On the night of 25 to 26 February 1992 hundreds of innocent Azerbaijani citizens were brutally massacred as a result of the unimaginable atrocities committed by the Armenian armed forces against Azerbaijani civilians. Among the victims were women, children, and the elderly, while many residents of Khojaly were taken hostage on that tragic night. As the TURKPA family, we solemnly honor the sacred memory of the victims of the Khojaly Genocide and pray for their eternal peace. Taking of this opportunity, we once again reiterate our unwavering solidarity with the people and the state of Azerbaijan.
