We were deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the tragic loss of life resulting from the sinking of a vessel off the coast of Girne, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States and in my personal capacity, I extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished, as well as to the Government and the brotherly people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. We also express our sincere hope for the safe return of those still missing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
In this time of profound grief, we express our steadfast solidarity with the brotherly people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. We trust that the causes and circumstances of this tragic incident will be fully established and that any negligence or responsibility identified will be duly addressed in accordance with the law.
