TURKPA Secretary General participates in the 13th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS

On 29 October 2026, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan participated in and addressed the 13th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), as well as the heads of organizations bringing together the Turkic States.

In his address, Secretary General briefed the participants on the Fifteenth Plenary Session of TURKPA and the Meeting of Council of the Assembly, held in Bishkek. The Secretary General emphasized that strengthening coordinated cooperation between the OTS and TURKPA and establishing a joint mechanism for cooperation in this regard would contribute to further advancing relations among the Turkic States. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states for their support for TURKPA’s activities. Ambassador Hasan also outlined TURKPA’s ongoing work and future priorities under the leadership of the Speakers of Parliament, including efforts to harmonize the legislation of member states, strengthen relations among the relevant legislative bodies, and promote the common interests of member states within the international system through the effective use of parliamentary diplomacy.
