TURKPA Secretary General meets with the Deputy Chairman of the AK Party in Charge of Foreign Affairs

On 17 April 2026, in Antalya, TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in charge of Foreign Affairs and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Mr. Zafer Sırakaya, within the framework of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the role of parliamentarians and the contributions of political parties to fostering cooperation among brotherly states. They also discussed the role of TURKPA in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the contribution of the Members of Parliament of the member states to enhancing strategic economic and political ties among Turkic states.

Ambassador Hasan briefed Mr. Sırakaya on the activities of TURKPA in this regard, including the work of its Permanent Commissions. The discussions also covered the organization’s activities over the past six months.

In turn, as a representative of the ruling AK Party of Türkiye, Mr. Zafer Sırakaya conveyed his best wishes to TURKPA and the Secretary General in their future endeavors. He also expressed the high appreciation of the ruling party and members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for the activities of TURKPA, reaffirming their readiness to continue supporting the organization in its work.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Muhammet Alper Hayali and Commission Secretary Ms. Aynura Abutalibova, on behalf of TURKPA, as well as by the Deputy Chairpersons of the AK Party responsible for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Şuay Nihan Açıkalın and Mr. Halil İbrahim Alegöz.
