TURKPA participated in an online meeting on the draft Convention on the Preservation of the Heritage of Turkic Civilization

On 22 Septemeber 2026, Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations Dr. Kadir Yaman participated in an online meeting dedicated to the discussion of the draft Convention on the Preservation of the Heritage of Turkic Civilization.

The draft Convention has been prepared by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation for consideration in pursuance of the objectives set forth in the strategic documents “Turkic World Vision – 2040,” the Charter of the Turkic World and the TURKTIME Programme, as well as in implementation of the Action Plan adopted following the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States held on 15 May 2026 in Turkistan.

The meeting brought together duly authorized representatives and experts of the Member States in the fields of cultural heritage protection, international cooperation and international legal affairs to discuss the text of the draft Convention, comments and proposals received from the Parties and approaches to its further coordination and refinement.
