TURKPA hosts delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference

On 8 August 2026, delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) led by Secretary General Mr. Ek Nath Dhakal, paid a visit to the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA).

Welcoming the guests, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Bektur Bazakechov conveyed the greetings of TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan.

For his part, Mr. Ek Nath Dhakal expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and noted that the visit provided a valuable opportunity to become acquainted with TURKPA and its activities. He provided an overview of ISC’s activities and expressed interest in establishing close cooperation with TURKPA, including through joint programmes, exchange of experience and sharing of expertise in areas of mutual interest.

Mr. Bazakechov briefed the guests on the structure and key activities of TURKPA, highlighting the Assembly’s role in promoting inter-parliamentary cooperation and dialogue.

From the ISC, the meeting was attended by International Cooperation Director at the Secretariat of the Secretary General of the ISC Mr. Hajime Saito and from the International Secretariat of TURKPA by Secretaries of Commissions Ms. Aynura Abutalibova and Mr. Mirlan Usenkanov and Chief of Protocol Mr. Yadigar Mammadov.
