Secretary General of TURKPA receives Member of the TURKPA Young Parliamentarians Group

On 7 September 2026, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan received delegation, led by Member of the Parliament of Türkiye and Member of the TURKPA Young Parliamentarians Group Mr. Emre Çalışkan.

During the meeting, the Secretary General briefed the parliamentarian and members of the delegation in detail on TURKPA’s major-scale projects and initiatives carried out over the past year, the steps taken by the Assembly, meetings of its permanent commissions, as well as the forthcoming plenary session of TURKPA.

The Secretary General underscored the important role of the Young Parliamentarians Group within TURKPA and highlighted the particular significance of young parliamentarians in the context of the rapid integration processes currently taking place around the world. He noted that enhanced and active cooperation among young parliamentarians would make an important contribution to the future activities of parliamentarians from the brotherly states.

Member of GNAT and a member of the TURKPA Young Parliamentarians Group Mr. Emre Çalışkan expressed his appreciation to the Secretary General of TURKPA for the warm reception and comprehensive support.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA Mr. Muhammet Alper Hayali, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the GNAT Mr. Ömer Faruk Kılıçkaya, Secretary for TURKPA at the Department of Foreign Relations Mr. Yunus Emre Ünal, and staff member of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) Ms. Sümeyye Yılmaztürk.
