Secretary General of TURKPA receives Chair of GNAT Commission

On 2 June 2026, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan received a delegation led by Ms. Sunay Karamık, Member of Parliament of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) and Chair of the Commission on Petitions, at the TURKPA International Secretariat.

The GNAT delegation included members of parliament who serve on the Commission on Petitions, legislative experts from the General Directorate of Laws and resolutions, as well as staff members from the General Directorate of Foreign Relations and Protocol.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on sharing the rich experience and institutional capacity of the GNAT Commission on Petitions with the parliaments of the fraternal Turkic states through the TURKPA platform in the future, as well as on the possibilities for applying this experience. It was agreed that various seminars, training programs, and experience-sharing activities would be organized in the future by the TURKPA Secretariat and in the member states, drawing on the extensive experience and opportunities of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in this area.

The meeting was attended by TURKPA Deputy Secretaries General Muhammet Alper Hayali and Talgat Aduov, as well as Acting Deputy Secretary General Bektur Bazakechov.
