TURKPA visited the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic

On 12 January 2022, within the framework of the official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic TURKPA delegation headed by Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er met with Gulnara Baitakova, Deputy Director of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Alykul Osmonov. The TURKPA delegation were informed on the activities of the Library and got acquainted with its premises, as well as with the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Cultural Centre and Chingiz Aitmatov Kyrgyz-Turkish Cultural Centre functioning with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA). In his turn, Secretary General highly appreciated the opening of the Centre named after Chingiz Aitmatov, great writer of the Turkic World that will contribute to the further strengthening of the cultural cooperation among the fraternal Turkic states. He also expressed willingness of TURKPA as a parliamentary dimension of the Turkic cooperation to support the activities of the Library in the spheres concerned.
