On 22 January 2026, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Alim Bayel. During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Alim Bayel emphasized that both the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan attach great importance to TURKPA’s activities and remain committed to providing comprehensive support. He further highlighted that the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Azerbaijan will facilitate the promotion of TURKPA’s work through coverage in Kazakh media. In turn, Ambassador Ramil Hasan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted Kazakhstan’s active engagement as a founding member of TURKPA since 2008, noting its significant contributions to the harmonization of legislative frameworks, drafting of model laws, work within standing committees, and the advancement of parliamentary diplomacy. The Secretary General expressed his appreciation for the continued support, emphasized the importance of coordinated cooperation among member states, and conveyed his best wishes to the Ambassador and his team in their future endeavors. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov.
