TURKPA Secretary General met with the Speaker of the Kuryltai

On 1 October 2026, within the framework of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan, met with H.E. Mr. Aibek Dadebay, newly elected Speaker of the Kuryltai of Kazakhstan.
Mr. Dadebay expressed his pleasure at meeting with Ambassador Ramil Hasan and noted with appreciation the continuation of his dedicated work as Secretary General of TURKPA. He highlighted the significant reforms undertaken in Kazakhstan, including the constitutional referendum and the elections to the Kuryltai, and expressed his sincere gratitude to TURKPA for its participation in the international observation of these processes. He emphasized that the support and solidarity of the fraternal Turkic peoples are of particular importance to Kazakhstan.
In turn, Mr. Hasan congratulated Mr. Dadebay on his election as Speaker of the Kuryltai and wished him success in his responsible position. He also expressed appreciation to the leadership of Kazakhstan and the Kuryltai for their continued support for TURKPA and highlighted the fruitful cooperation achieved during Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship of the Assembly.
Secretary General briefed the Speaker in detail on the recent activities of the TURKPA International Secretariat, including the meetings of the Permanent Commissions, the informal meeting of the Speakers, efforts to expand cooperation with international parliamentary organizations, and the strengthening of coordination with the foreign ministries of TURKPA Member States and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Secretary General also informed the Speaker about the preparations for the upcoming 15th Meeting of the Council of Assembly and Plenary Session of TURKPA, to be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on 19–20 October 2026.
Mr. Dadebay expressed his high regard for the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States and its International Secretariat and highly appreciated the activities of the Secretary General. He stated that the Kuryltai of Kazakhstan would continue to provide comprehensive support to TURKPA’s future activities and closely participate in its work. He also confirmed the participation of the delegation of Kazakhstan in the upcoming Plenary Session and Council of Assembly.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Aynura Abutalibova and Mr. Bauyrzhan Datkayev, Secretaries of TURKPA Commissions, and Mr. Yadigar Mammadov, Chief of Protocol of TURKPA International Secretariat.
