TURKPA Secretary General met with the President of the Turkic Academy

On 26 December 2025, within the framework of his official visit to Kazakhstan Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States Ambassador Ramil Hasan met with the President of the Turkic Academy Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev. During the meeting, the parties held extensive discussions on the current state and future prospects of relations between TURKPA and the Turkic Academy. Particular attention was paid to the issues related to legislative frameworks and the approximation of legislations, parliamentary diplomacy, and other areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the capacity of TURKPA, as well as to the activities of the Turkic Academy in the fields of science, education, research, archaeological excavations, and other areas in which it has achieved significant academic accomplishments. The meeting also focused on cooperation in areas such as common Turkic history, alphabet, geography, and literature, where the Turkic Academy has achieved notable successes. The heads of both organizations emphasized the importance of strengthening close and effective cooperation in order to enable the two fraternal institutions to take concrete steps in 2026 in line with the shared strategic interests of the Turkic world. In this regard, coordinators were designated by both TURKPA and the Turkic Academy, and it was underscored that cooperation through these coordinators would facilitate the advancement of bilateral relations to a new stage of development. Vice President Bülent Bayram, Experts Mr. Dinmuhammed Ametbek, and Ms. Aynur Mayemerova participated in the meeting from the Turkic Academy. During the meeting Secretary General was accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov and Chief of Protocol Mr. Yadigar Mammadov.
