TURKPA Secretary General Hasan hosted BBP Chairman Destici

On 31 October 2025, the Chairman of the Grand Unity Party (BBP), Mr. Mustafa Destici along with his delegation, visited the Secretary General of TURKPA, Ambassador Ramil Hasan. Expressing his great pleasure at the visit, Secretary General Hasan stated that he was honored to host Mr. Destici. Mr. Hasan emphasized that TURKPA has developed new approaches to fulfill its responsibilities towards member parliaments in a more functional manner. He also shared that they have received strong support for these proposals from Parliamentary Speakers and Ministers of Foreign Affairs during visits to member states. In turn, BBP Chairman Mr. Destici sincerely congratulated Ambassador Hasan on his election as the Secretary General of TURKPA and expressed his belief that he would carry out this important duty in the best way possible, as he had in his previous posts. Mr. Destici, recalling that his party has pursued policies centered on the Turkic world since its foundation, shared his satisfaction with the progress achieved by Turkic Cooperation Organizations and the mission they have undertaken. In his speech, he stated that the motto of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev, "One nation, two states," is felt in every field. Mr. Destici, who was in Azerbaijan as part of a planned visit, expressed his happiness over Azerbaijan's liberation of its lands from occupation and congratulated the entire Azerbaijani people and state on this great achievement. During the meeting, it was underlined that with the participation of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, TURKPA will progress more strongly towards its common goals. Furthermore, the importance of gaining the support of countries whose hearts are with TURKPA, even if their flags are not officially present, was also emphasized. TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Muhammet Alper Hayali and Secretary of Commission Kadir Yaman also attended the meeting.
