TURKPA delegation led by Deputy Secretary General Saky Sadykov took part in the international conference themed “Central Asia and the Global Ethics of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Prospects” organized by the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty on 23 April 2025 in Astana. The conference discussed ethical frameworks and international cooperation in the application of artificial intelligence in the fields of public administration, education, health, science and digital economy.
The conference served as a platform to discuss the evolution of artificial intelligence and the ethical application of this technology in societal areas. The event brought together politicians, representatives of civil society organizations, delegates from international organizations, artificial intelligence researchers, academics, software experts and engineers working in this field.
TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Saky Sadykov also delivered a speech at the conference. In his speech, he underlined the benefits and harms that artificial intelligence can create in society, asking "How transparent are algorithms? Who is responsible for artificial intelligence errors? Will artificial intelligence increase social inequality?" and other universal ethical questions. Emphasizing the need to strengthen cybersecurity and raise public awareness, Mr. Sadykov called for the implementation of special legal regulations that will create an AI ethical framework that takes into account the cultural values and traditions of the Central Asian region.
TURKPA delegation also visited the museum at the Presidential Center of Culture and Museum. After the tour, Mr. Sadykov wrote a commemorative note in the museum's memory book.
