TURKPA participated at briefing on missing persons held in Baku

On 18 August 2023, Kadir Yaman, Secretary of the Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations took part at the briefing co-organized by the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons. The briefing was attended by diplomats, military attachês and representatives of international organizations accredited in Azerbaijan. The participants were informed on the work carried out for the search of persons missing since the First Karabakh War. During the meeting, Habib Mikayilli, Head of division at the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration stated that there were 3890 people missing since the First Karabakh War. Ismayıl Akhundov, head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons made significant remarks on the matter.
