TURKPA delegation met with the Chairman of the Mangystau Regional Maslikhat

On November 27, 2025, within the framework of the participation of the closing ceremony the event “Aktau – Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2025”, organizing by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with TURKSOY, the TURKPA delegation led by Mr. Bauyrzhan Datkayev, Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Economic Cooperation, met with Mr. Zhanbyrbay Matayev, Chairman of the Maslikhat of Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan.
The Chairman Mr. Matayev welcomed the TURKPA delegation and emphasized the importance of participation of the TURKPA in the event that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World and highlights Aktau’s role as a hub of cultural exchange and collaboration.
In his turn, Mr. Datkayev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and briefed on the activities of the Assembly. The parties focused on upcoming joint activities discussed during the visit of Mr. Matayev to Baku in October this year and exchanged views on events they would work on together, including those dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress will be held in Baku in 2026. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
The bilateral meeting was also attended by Head of the Office of the Maslikhat Adilbek Daulbayev, Deputy of the Maslikhat Abzal Marat, and Head of the Department of Youth Policy Mukash Oralbay from Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan, and Staff member of the TURKPA International Secretariat Alasgar Aghayev.
