On 28 October 2025, in Bishkek, H.E. Mr. Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, received the delegation led by Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan within the framework of the official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. Speaker conveyed his congratulations to the Secretary General on the commencement of his tenure and wished him successful and productive activities ahead. In turn, Mr. Hasan thanked Mr. Turgunbek Uulu for the warm reception and sincere hospitality extended to the TURKPA delegation. Firstly, the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament highlighted the strong relations between Jogorku Kenesh and TURKPA, noting their importance for interparliamentary cooperation. He expressed his appreciation for the forthcoming election observation process to be implemented by TURKPA International Observation Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasizing its contribution to strengthening democratic institutions and interparliamentary cooperation. During the meeting, Secretary General briefed Mr. Turgunbek uulu on the future activities of TURKPA focused on the strengthening of cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Parliaments of Turkic states, the implementation of a new mechanism of cooperation with the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the annual informal meeting among the Speakers of Parliaments of Turkic States, the enhanced coordination of national parliamentary delegations across various international parliamentary organizations under the framework of the Assembly, aimed at protecting shared national interests and strengthening cooperation among Turkic states, as well as possible accession of the Uzbekistan to the Assembly. Speaker commended the Secretary General for his consistent efforts and comprehensive proposals aimed at strengthening the institutional role of TURKPA and deepening interparliamentary dialogue among member states. Touching upon the possible accession of the Parliament of Uzbekistan to TURKPA, the Speaker expressed his strong support for the Secretary General’s efforts in this direction, emphasizing that the participation of Uzbekistan would contribute to deepening interparliamentary relations and solidarity within the Turkic world. The parties also discussed the renewal of the Secretariat’s legal documents and the adoption of a new budget that meets modern requirements at the next plenary session to be held in Kyrgyz Republic. Secretary General was accompanied by his Deputy Saky Sadykov.
