On 15 June 2024, Deputy Secretary General Saky Sadykov attended an international conference on “Organization of Turkic States: towards new strategic goals in context of geopolitical realities and global cataclysms” in the city of Shusha. The event organized by the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) was dedicated to the National Salvation Day of the Azerbaijani people and the 3rd anniversary of the signing of the Shusha Declaration. The international conference brought together about 300 guests, including parliamentarians, representatives of the ruling parties of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Head of the Department for Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Authority of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adalat Valiyev read out the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, addressed to the conference participants. Then a documentary "We are strong together!" prepared by Yeni TV, the media agency of the New Azerbaijan Party was shown. The conference featured three plenary sessions on the topics "Organization of Turkic States: regional contribution to global security", "Unity of common values and modernity: party diplomacy as a new dialogue platform" and "Turkiс World-2040: a conceptual vision of the future". The event participants expressed satisfaction with their participation in the conference held in Shusha, which is a symbol of the revival and prosperity of Karabakh, the historical land of Azerbaijan. They also noted that against the backdrop of global challenges and instability, the Turkic world is taking all possible steps to strengthen cooperation and achieve important goals. In turn, the Shusha Declaration increases the significance of the Turkic world as a whole, as the document reflects all areas of cooperation, including foreign policy, security, economics, and the policy of bringing the Turkic world closer to the world. The conference ended with the performance of the anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party. The event participants became acquainted with the historical places of Shusha, construction and reconstruction work carried out in the city.
