Secretary of the TURKPA Commission attended the Opening ceremony of the “Çanakkale Battles” Exhibition in Baku

On 22 October 2025, Mr. Kadir Yaman, Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations, attended the opening ceremony of the “Çanakkale Battles through frontline photographs” exhibition and the Çanakkale Mobile Museum in Baku. The event, jointly organized by the Baku Yunus Emre Institute and the Independence Museum of Azerbaijan, brought together the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Birol Akgün, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Murad Hüseynov, the Member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Ms. Tanzila Rustamkhanli, as well as representatives of public institutions, academia, and students. A panel discussion followed the opening ceremony, focusing on the historical importance of the Çanakkale Naval Victory and its role in the national liberation struggle. Speakers emphasized that the heroic struggle of the Turkish nation for independence and its future gave rise to the epic of Çanakkale. The panel also underlined that Çanakkale remains one of the most vivid and enduring symbols of the brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. The event concluded with a visit to the Çanakkale Mobile Museum.
