Secretary General met with Chairman of the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic

On 26 June 2025, Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er met with the Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CEC) of the Kyrgyz Republic Tynchtyk Shainazarov. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Issyk-Kul Electoral Forum organized by the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Chairman of the CEC Tynchtyk Shainazarov expressed his gratitude for the participation of the TURKPA delegation in the forum and noted that he is well acquainted with the activities of TURKPA.
Mr. Shainazarov remarked that during his tenure as a member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, he had been awarded the “Tenth Anniversary of TURKPA” medal for his contribution to the development of parliamentarism, and that he continues to take pride in this honor.
He stated that joint efforts have contributed to the conduct of open and fair elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Head of the CEC underlined the importance of TURKPA’s activities and the value of continued cooperation within its framework, expressing readiness to offer any support or assistance that may be required.
Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er expressed his sincere gratitude to the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic for its warm hospitality and for organizing the forum at a high level.
He recalled the participation of TURKPA in the Issyk-Kul Electoral Forum in 2024, as well as in several other election-related events. Secretary General also emphasized that the transparent and fair electoral processes conducted by the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic could serve as a valuable example for other countries.
Expressing confidence in achieving greater success through joint efforts in the future, Secretary General conveyed his appreciation for the warm reception extended to the TURKPA delegation.
Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Education, Culture, Social and Humanitarian Affairs Aigerim Taalaibekova and Legal Officer of the TURKPA Secretariat Azar Mammadov also attended the meeting.
