Secretary General attended the opening ceremony of the Solidarity Forum of NGOs of the OTS member states

On 24 November 2025, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Ambassador Ramil Hasan, participated in the opening ceremony of the Solidarity Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of the OTS member states, organized by the Agency for State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku. The event, attended by over 500 participants from Turkic States, was opened with an exhibition and a video highlighting the member states’ cultural achievements, historical ties, shared values, and cooperation. At the opening of the forum, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, read out President Ilham Aliyev’s address, in which he welcomed participants, stressed the importance of cooperation among civil society organizations of the Organization of Turkic States, and highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as the current chair in supporting joint projects, expressing confidence that the forum would strengthen unity and solidarity among Turkic peoples. The forum continued with panel discussions and the adoption of a joint declaration reflecting the agreements reached and outlining future avenues for cooperation.
