President of the Republic of Azerbaijan received TURKPA delegation

On 6 June 2024, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received delegation of TURKPA composed of the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva, Speaker of the Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Zorlu Töre, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Márta Mátrai and Secretary General of TURKPA Mehmet Süreyya Er. President Ilham Aliyev welcomed the members of the delegation who visited Baku to participate in the 13th Plenary Session of TURKPA and expressed confidence that the upcoming Plenary Session will be fruitful. Head of State noted that one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy was to strengthen relations with the Turkic states and contribute to the development of the Turkic world as a whole, and expressed satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation in this direction. TURKPA delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and determination to continue to support parliamentary cooperation in the Turkic world. The delegation also renewed their congratulations on the full restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and expressed satisfaction with the rapid restoration of the Karabakh region.
