On 26 November 2025, TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan received a delegation of the Independent Industrialists and Businesspeople Association (MUSIAD Azerbaijan), led by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Rashad Jabirli, at the International TURKPA Secretariat.
The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Jabirli, congratulated Ambassador Hasan on his election as TURKPA Secretary General and wished him continued success in carrying out his important mission.
Mr. Jabirli expressed appreciation for Ambassador Hasan’s efforts in advancing inter-parliamentary cooperation and underscored the importance of strengthening engagement between business associations and TURKPA. He reaffirmed MUSIAD’s readiness to support joint projects aimed at further promoting economic development and cooperation across the Turkic states.
The MUSIAD delegation presented the organisation’s broad operational scope, highlighting its extensive network of 60,000 business entities across 179 sectors, as well as key initiatives, including the “101 Reasons – 100,000 Addresses” programme and the International Business Forum. A member of the delegation reiterated the well-known principle: “Two states, one nation,” referring to the strong bonds between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, and emphasised that deepening strategic engagement with all Turkic countries remains among MUSIAD’s core long-term priorities. They further expressed readiness to expand multilateral cooperation through platforms such as the KOBIA-initiated Karabakh–Shusha Business Forum, which they view as an important avenue for advancing shared economic initiatives across the Turkic world.
Ambassador Hasan, in turn, underscored the strategic role of TURKPA’s four permanent commissions as the primary institutional mechanisms for facilitating structured parliamentary cooperation among its member states. He also welcomed MUSIAD’s proposals, noting the growing importance of the Turkic Investment Fund as a key regional financial instrument supporting joint economic projects, and commended the Assembly’s close and effective partnership with the Fund.
In the course of the discussions, the parties exchanged views on prospects and practical modalities for broadening cooperation between the business community and the TURKPA member states.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of the TURKPA Commission, Kadir Yaman; Chief of Protocol, Yadigar Mammadov; Research Expert, Kamila Muzaffarli; and Assistant to the TURKPA Secretary General, Takhmina Bakieva.
