On 11 June 2025, within the framework of the Fourteenth Plenary Session of TURKPA, the Fourth Meeting of the Young Parliamentarians Group titled “Mobility and Cultural Adaptation Processes of Youth in TURKPA Member Countries” was held. The event brought together parliamentarians from TURKPA member states. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Group, Member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Anar Mammadov. In his opening remarks, Mr. Mammadov thanked the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan for hosting the meeting and emphasized the importance of fostering youth mobility and intercultural dialogue across the Turkic world. Beside Anar Mammadov Elnur Beysenbayev, member of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aisuluu Mamashova, member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Emre Çalışkan, member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye also delivered speeches at the meeting. Participants examined current patterns of student and youth mobility among TURKPA member states and explored concrete steps to enhance cultural adaptation during their speeches. Mr. Mammadov highlighted the role of higher education in this process, stressing the need to expand university exchange programs and create additional opportunities for young people to study and engage with their peers in other member states. Views were exchanged on practices for facilitating youth gatherings, such as joint cultural activities, exchange platforms, joint schools, and on policy measures to support students’ seamless transition between universities. Parliamentarians of Member States expressed their confidence that strengthened cooperation would enable the youth in TURKPA region to deepen their contacts with each other and build lasting intercultural networks. The Group adopted its Report and Recommendations and determined the next theme to be “Engagement of the Youth in Political Decision-Making Processes and Representation Rate of Young Parliamentarians in TURKPA Member States”. It was decided to hold its Fifth meeting in Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the Fifteenth Plenary Session of TURKPA.
