The group of experts working on the elaboration of the draft Model Law "On the Status of the Teacher" held its third and final online meeting on March 4, 2025. The draft Model Law "On the Status of the Teacher" was elaborated as part of the work plan of the TURKPA Commission on Education, Culture, Social, and Humanitarian Affairs for 2025, in accordance with the TURKPA Strategic Roadmap 2023-2028. The draft Model Law "On the Status of the Teacher" aims to align legal frameworks in the field of education among the Member States, to improve international relations between the educational systems of the Member States, as well as fostering the convergence of educational processes that contribute to economic, cultural, and social development. On January 30, 2025, a group consisting of experts from the TURKPA Member States and the representatives of the Secretariat held its first meeting. The parties shared their thoughts on the draft Model Law and expressed their goodwill regarding its successful development. During his speech, Deputy Secretary General Saky Sadykov emphasized the importance of the draft Model Law, stating that it aims to improve the legal status of teachers and create favorable conditions for their creativity. The meeting was moderated by the Acting Secretary of the Commission Aigerim Taalaibekova. The group of experts held three online meetings to elaborate the draft Model Law "On the Status of the Teacher". During the meetings, the experts provided specific and substantial recommendations on the draft Model Law. The meetings focused on exchanging views on the draft document, analyzing the proposals made by the parties, and adopting well-founded suggestions. On March 4, 2025, the expert group held its final meeting and elaborated the final draft version of the document to be submitted to the Commission.
