Delegation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of TRNC visited the TURKPA International Secretariat

On 4 December 2025, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), H.E. Ambassador Ramil Hasan, warmly welcomed the delegation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), led by the Minister, H.E. Mr. Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, at the TURKPA International Secretariat in Baku. The delegation, headed by Minister Hasipoğlu, included the TRNC Representative in Baku, H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Ufuk Turganer; Director of the Labor Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the TRNC, Mrs. Sezgi Ballı Çobanoğlu; Third Secretary of the TRNC Representative Office in Baku, Mr. Görkem Reis; Ministerial Advisor, Mrs. Eda Özçetiner Demir; and Press Officer of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the TRNC, Mrs. Gizem Özgeç. During the cordial meeting, Secretary General Ambassador Hasan briefed the Minister on the work of the Parliamentary Assembly and provided detailed information on the Assembly’s activities to further develop the TURKPA agenda for 2026, highlighting recent initiatives and upcoming projects included in the working plan of the TURKPA International Secretariat. He also reaffirmed TURKPA’s readiness to provide comprehensive support to the future activities of the TRNC within the framework of the Assembly’s mandate. Information was further shared regarding the proposed informal meeting of the speakers of TURKPA member parliaments, planned to be convened on the margins of the 152nd IPU Assembly in Istanbul. In his turn, Minister Hasipoğlu conveyed his congratulations to Mr. Hasan on assuming his office and expressed his sincere wishes for continued success in his important mission. He expressed his deep gratitude to Secretary General Ambassador Hasan for his continued support and constructive efforts to enhance the active participation and representation of the TRNC in the Assembly’s activities. The parties also discussed enhancing cooperation and further strengthening the TRNC’s visibility within the framework of the Turkic States. Ambassador Hasan emphasized that it was a great honor and pleasure for him to welcome the Minister to the TURKPA premises. He also stressed that the TRNC’s participation in the Assembly’s activities is an integral part of the Turkic World. Expressing confidence in future cooperation, Secretary General Hasan reiterated his belief that cooperation with the TRNC will continue in the coming period. The meeting was also attended by the Deputies Secretary General Talgat Aduov and Muhammet Alper Hayali; the Secretary of the TURKPA Commission, Bauyrzhan Datkayev; Chief of Protocol, Yadigar Mammadov; and Assistant to the TURKPA Secretary General, Takhmina Bakieva.
