Master’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering. Graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering. Completed his master's and doctoral degrees at Karadeniz Technical University, Institute of Science, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Director General of State Airports Authority, Electronic Engineer at Dalaman Airport, Lecturer at Gazi Osmanpaşa University, Faculty Member at Zonguldak Karaelmas University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, served as Rector at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University for two terms.

Conducted the duties of Interuniversity Board, Member of Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of Vocational Qualifications Authority, General Assembly Member of the Turkish Standards Institute, President of Center for Assessment, Selection and Placement, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of National Education and Minister of National Education.

On 14 May 2023 elected as Ordu deputy of the twenty-eighth convocation and the chair of the National Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports Commission.

Fluent in English, and an intermediate command of Arabic and French.
