The Organization of Turkic States was established with the Nakhchivan Treaty of October 3, 2009. The Organization, of which Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan are members and Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Hungary are observers, is the institution where Turkic cooperation activities are carried out at the highest level. The General Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States continues its activities in Istanbul, the magnificent city of the Turkic World. October 3, the founding day of the Organization of Turkic States, was also declared as the Turkic States Cooperation Day.
