On behalf of the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, on the occasion of the Remembrance Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, observed annually on 27 September, we express our profound respect and reverence for the blessed memory of the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
This solemn day embodies the deep respect and gratitude of the Azerbaijani people towards the sons of the Motherland who demonstrated supreme courage and self-sacrifice during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020, laying down their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
The historic Victory, achieved through the unity of the people, the strong will and resolute leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and the courage and dedication of the Azerbaijani Army, has been engraved in the history of Azerbaijan's statehood as a triumph of justice and national honour.
May the souls of our Martyrs rest in peace.
