November 10, Atatürk Commemoration Day

November 10, 1938, is a day of mourning for the entire Turkic world. As the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States (TURKPA), we commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, with gratitude, respect, and prayers on the 87th anniversary of his passing. Atatürk's principle of “Peace at home, peace in the world” and the spirit of national unity form the basis of the bonds of brotherhood among the Turkic states. We are fully committed to preserving and perpetuating this unique legacy he left us. May his soul rest in peace.
