It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we have received the tragic news of the loss of life of military personnel of the Republic of Kazakhstan while performing their official duties in the Caspian Sea.
On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States and in my personal capacity, I extend our most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We also express our sincere hope for the safe return of those still missing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
With the decision of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, September 25 was declared as a Day of Nationwide Mourning in connection with the death of military personnel in the line of duty in the Mangystau region.
In this regard, the flags are lowered at half-mast at the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States.
The TURKPA International Secretariat reiterates its condolences to and solidarity with the brotherly people and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
