On August 31, 1991, with the adoption of the Declaration of State Independence by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, which officially affirmed the Kyrgyz people's aspiration for freedom, political sovereignty, and independent development, the Kyrgyz Republic commenced its path as a sovereign state.
Independence Day is the highest state holiday for the Kyrgyz nation, commemorating those who fought for freedom and contributed to the foundation of the Kyrgyz state.
We highly appreciate the contribution of the Kyrgyz Republic to the development of mutual cooperation among Turkic states, the strengthening of peace and stability, and the preservation of shared historical and cultural values.
On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the fraternal Kyrgyz people on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic and wish continued success on the path of developing a sovereign state!
