TURKPA which was established 16 years ago upon the Istanbul Agreement signed by the Heads of Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye on November 21, 2008, has passed through a unique path of evolution and development throughout 16 years. Over the past 16 years, the activities of the Organization have gradually expanded and further enriched with the introduction of various cooperative mechanisms and formats in accordance with the demands of time and its increasing tasks. Today, as the parliamentary dimension of Turkic cooperation, TURKPA is a functional and efficient interaction space of parliaments of Turkic states, known among the inter-parliamentary organizations.
At the foundation of the achievements of TURKPA surely stands the hard work of our parliamentarians under the leadership of our esteemed Heads of Parliament. In this context, we are convinced that further support of our states to the activities of TURKPA will raise the Organization to even higher levels.
Today, the unity and solidarity of the Turkic World are stronger and cooperation is more active. The unwavering will and determination of the Heads of State for Turkic cooperation inspires us to work even harder towards new achievements and successes, and TURKPA will continue to adequately perform its responsible duty with 16 years of positive experience and determination for cooperation.
