TURKPA Deputy Secretary General participated in the CICA Roundtable

On 17 June 2026, in Astana, TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov participated in the Roundtable of Executive Structures of Regional Organizations in Asia organized by the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) themed “Enhancing Synergies for a Secure and Interconnected Asia”. The event convened to commemorate of the 20th Anniversary of the CICA Secretariat.

The high-level roundtable brought together heads of secretariats and executive structures of regional organizations, UN representatives, and think tank experts from CICA Member States. Discussions covered multilateral cooperation challenges, the UN’s global-regional nexus, and the evolving priorities of regional executive structures.

Delivering speech in the 3rd Session, Mr. Aduov presented TURKPA’s institutional priorities and its practical approaches to fulfilling its mandate, emphasising the organization’s role in advancing parliamentary cooperation, shared values, and integration among Turkic states. He stated that TURKPA and CICA have maintained productive contacts, exchanged views on common priorities, and mutually supported each other’s efforts to strengthen the multilateral spirit across the region.
