TURKPA Mission held meeting with Kazakhstani Deputy Foreign Minister

On 20 August 2026, the TURKPA International Election Observation Mission, held in the framework of its programme for observing the election of deputies to the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan and led by Mr. Osman Mesten, Chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Arman Issagaliyev.

Welcoming the Mission, Deputy Minister Issagaliyev briefed the delegation on the ongoing preparations for the upcoming elections and the work of international observers. He emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to conducting an open and transparent electoral process in accordance with national legislation.

In turn, head of the Mission Mr. Mesten, congratulated Mr. Issagaliyev on his appointment as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and wished him every success in his future endeavours. Mr. Mesten also expressed appreciation to the Kazakh side for the support provided in facilitating the Mission’s activities.

The parties further discussed mechanisms of cooperation within the OTS and TURKPA frameworks and reaffirmed their interest in strengthening this interaction.

Deputy Secretaries General Mr. Talgat Aduov and Mr. Muhammet Alper Hayali also participated in the meeting.
