TURKPA attended the 16th Session of PUIC Conference

On 9-10 December 2021, the 16th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the Islamic Cooperation Conference hosted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey took place in Istanbul. TURKPA delegation led by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Fuad Alakbarov attended the event in the capacity of observer. PUIC delegations of the TURKPA member parliaments attended the session as well. H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, PUIC Secretary General adressed the opening session. The agenda included report of the PUIC Secretary General, addresses by the Speakers, Vice-Speakers, Heads of delegations and Observers, as well as other organisational matters of PUIC General and Executive Committees. The Istanbul Declaration was adopted at the end of the Session. The Session was concluded with closing remarks by H. E. Mr. Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT.
