TURKPA attended Round Table hosted by IPA CIS IIMDD Baku Branch

On 31 October 2024, Deputy Secretary General Fuad Alakbarov took part at the round table titled “Role of the political parties in development of democracy and parliamentarism in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, organized by the Baku Branch of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD). The event commenced by an opening speech of the Director of IPA CIS IIMDD Baku Branch Ramin Rzayev who briefly informed participants on the purpose of the round table. He also emphasized that the line of expansion and development cooperation with CIS member states, particularly in humanitarian, cultural, scientific, educational, social and other fields, was clearly evidenced in the successful foreign policy of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The event gathered members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of political parties, state bodies, international and non-governmental organizations, academic cirles as well as other experts. The round table was concluded with recommendations made to an outcome document of the event.
