Secretary General met with IPU Secretary General

On 21 October 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland, Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan met with Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Martin Chungong in the frame of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Mr. Chungong conveyed his congratulation to Mr. Hasan on assuming his office and expressed his sincere wishes for continued progress and success in his endeavors.
Expressing gratitude to Mr. Chungong for his kind wishes, Mr. Hasan sounded his views on the prospects for future cooperation and the further strengthening of relations between the two institutions.
Taking into account the extensive experience of the IPU Secretariat, the Secretary General of TURKPA suggested exploring the possibility of a short-term professional training program at the IPU for the staff of the TURKPA International Secretariat. In turn, the IPU Secretary General welcomed the proposal, expressing his support for its implementation and reaffirming his readiness to continue supporting all aspects of bilateral cooperation and collaboration between the two institutions.
Mr. Chungong also expressed his hope for the support of TURKPA regarding the active engagement of Kyrgyzstan in the work and activities of the IPU.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, focusing on the strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation, the exchange of experience in the field of parliamentary diplomacy, and the further development of dialogue between the two organizations.
Secretary General was accompanied by his Deputy Talgat Aduov.
