Ambassador Akgün and MP Ayrım visited the TURKPA Secretary General

On 30 October 2025, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), H.E. Ambassador Ramil Hasan, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Birol Akgün, and the Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), Chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship Group, H.E. Şamil Ayrım, to the TURKPA Secretariat.
During the courtesy visit, Mr. Hasan informed his guests about TURKPA's determined efforts to strengthen cooperation among member parliaments, its recent initiatives, and the topics discussed during official visits to member states.
The Secretary General shared TURKPA's proposals and approaches for further enhancing synergy among the Parliaments, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). He stated that TURKPA's activities in all these areas is being carried out continuously and successfully under the current Chairmanship of Kazakhstan.
During the visit, H.E. Ambassador Birol Akgün congratulated Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan on his new position at TURKPA and wished him every success in his work.
GNAT Deputy Mr. Şamil Ayrım, referring to their long-standing friendship, warmly congratulated Secretary General Hasan. Mr. Ayrım expressed his strong belief that the valuable services Ambassador Hasan has provided to the Turkic world will be similarly reflected in the mission he carries out once again as TURKPA Secretary General.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary General Muhammet Alper Hayali and Secretary of Commission Kadir Yaman.
