During the ceremony, the audience witnessed a parade of teams and referees, the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, as well as a traditional national dance.
These matches are held every two years with the support of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). This year, Baku is hosting national amputee leagues from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. The event serves as a significant platform for attracting global attention to the issue of landmines, while also promoting solidarity, resilience, and inclusiveness among landmine survivors through sports.
