Republic Day of the Republic of Türkiye

Today, the Turkish nation, which has lived free since time immemorial, with pride and happiness celebrates the 102nd anniversary of the Republic, which was proclaimed at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the supreme manifestation venue of the nation’s will, on October 29, 1923, following the great victory of the blessed struggle it undertook to break the chains that were intended to be imposed on it. On this meaningful day, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) wholeheartedly joins the excitement of Republic of Türkiye with its state and nation. We remember with respect, gratitude, and mercy the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this sacred homeland. In the shade of this century-old plane tree, which is a source of inspiration for oppressed nations, we wish the Republic of Türkiye eternal peace and prosperity; we congratulate the Turkish nation and all its friends on Republic Day with our most sincere wishes.
