TURKPA Secretary General received President of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB)

On 18 May 2026, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Ambassador Ramil Hasan received Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay, President of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, at the TURKPA International Secretariat.

The delegation headed by Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay included Mr. Tamraz Tahgiyev, Member of the Executive Board of TDBB and Chairman of the National Association of City Municipalities of Azerbaijan, as well as Mr. Taha Zahid Özdemir, Secretary General of TDBB.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and discussed prospects for further enhancing cooperation between TURKPA and TDBB within the framework of the Turkic world. Emphasizing the importance of interinstitutional dialogue and coordination, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing relations and expanding existing channels of cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Talgat Aduov, Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA, and Dr. Kadir Yaman, Secretary of the Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations of TURKPA.
