TURKPA participates in Conference marking the 30th Anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan

On 16 September 2026, Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA Mr. Muhammet Alper Hayali participated in the international scientific and practical conference on “Development stages of audit: the path from compliance to strategic partnership and trust,” held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors Mr. Vahid Novruzov delivered the opening remarks and read out a congratulatory letter from President of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Chamber’s 30th anniversary.

It was noted by the President of Azerbaijan that the Chamber of Auditors has played an important role in strengthening transparency, accountability and financial discipline in the country over the past 30 years. The President underscored the importance of further modernizing the audit sector in line with international standards, including through digital transformation and the increased use of artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics, while promoting professional ethics, public trust and international cooperation.

In turn, Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA Mr. Muhammet Alper Hayali also addressed the conference. He congratulated the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan on its 30th anniversary and highlighted the establishment of the Union of Accountants and Independent Auditors of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) as an important step toward strengthening professional cooperation and economic integration among the Turkic states. He emphasized the importance of common standards, mutual recognition of professional qualifications, and cooperation in digitalization and other emerging areas.
