TURKPA IEOM holds meetings with representatives of political parties in Astana

On 20–21 August 2026, the Astana Group of the TURKPA International Election Observation Mission, led by Mr. Osman Mesten, Chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), held meetings with representatives of political parties as part of its short-term observation of the parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan scheduled for 23 August 2026.

The delegation met with the representatives of the Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan, the Baytaq Kazakhstan Green Party, Auyl Party, the People’s Party of Kazakhstan, the Respublica Party, and the Adilet Party.

During the meetings, the representatives of the political parties briefed the Mission on their participation in the electoral process, campaign activities, as well as their assessment of the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The discussions covered a range of issues related to the electoral process, including the participation of political parties, the conduct of the election campaign, and preparations for election day.
