TURKPA delegation started its election observation programme in Kazakhstan

TURKPA observation mission arrived in Astana to conduct a short-term monitoring of the early presidential elections to be held in Kazakhstan on 26 April 2015. The mission is comprised of Mr. Chingiz Ganizade, member of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan and head of the mission, Ms. Sadagat Valiyeva, member of the Milli Mejlis, Mr. Dastanbek Jumabayev, member of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan and Mr. Haluk Ipek, member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The programme of the mission included meetings with the Kazakhstani officials and with the representatives of the candidates for presidency, visit to several polling stations of the Kazakhstani capital on election day and assessment of preparations for presidential elections and election environment.
