TURKPA attends the 100th anniversary event marking the First Turkological Congress

On 29 June 2026, TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov participated in the International Congress entitled "The First Turkological Congress: A Century of Scientific and Cultural Heritage", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress and organized within the framework of "Turkic World Week".

The Week, consisting of a series of scientific and cultural events, is being held in accordance with the Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, on 22 October 2025, "On the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress." The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Ministry of Science and Education, in partnership with the Organization of Turkic States, TURKSOY, Baku State University, the Turkic Academy, and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.

As part of the Congress, a Plenary Session entitled "The Turkic World as One Family: The Activities of International Turkic Cooperation Organizations for Common Goals" and a Panel Session entitled "The Development Dynamics of Turkic Languages: Historical and Philological Perspectives" were held.

At the event, participants exchanged views on strengthening cooperation among Turkic states, promoting the development of Turkic languages, and preserving their common historical and cultural heritage.
