On 2 June 2026, Acting Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Education, Culture, Social and Humanitarian Affairs Mr. Mirlan Usenkanov attended the Global Perspectives Lecture Series (GPLS) on “Regional Connectivity and the Middle Corridor”, organized by the Institute for Development and Diplomacy at ADA University.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Bernhard Kelkes, Dutch Connectivity Envoy, and Mr. Rein Dekkers, Eastern Partnership Envoy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The speakers highlighted the growing strategic importance of the Middle Corridor in enhancing connectivity between Europe and Asia, the evolving dynamics of global transport routes, the role of the European Union and the Eastern Partnership in supporting infrastructure development and economic resilience, and opportunities for strengthening regional cooperation, trade links, and people-to-people contacts.

The event brought together representatives of academia and the diplomatic community, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on regional connectivity, sustainable economic development and contemporary geopolitical challenges.
