President of the TRNC receives TURKPA delegation

On 20 July 2026, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), H.E. Mr. Tufan Erhürman, received TURKPA delegation led by the Acting Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA Mr. Bektur Bazakechov, who represented the Secretary General of TURKPA, during the delegation's visit to the TRNC.

During the reception, the parties expressed their appreciation for the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus joining TURKPA as an observer and highlighted the growing scope of cooperation established within this framework. They also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening parliamentary collaboration through ongoing dialogue and joint initiatives.

The TURKPA delegation also attended the receptions hosted by H.E. Mr. Tufan Erhürman, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and H.E. Mr. Ziya Öztürkler, Speaker of the Parliament of the TRNC, in honour of the guests, as well as the Official Ceremonial Parade held on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard.

Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations Dr. Kadir Yaman also participated in the meeting.
