TURKPA took part in celebrations for the 41st anniversary of establishment of TRNC

The TURKPA delegation led by Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er took part in the events dedicated to the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) held on 15 November 2024. Prior to the celebration events – on 14 November, the TURKPA delegation was received by the President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar and Chairman of the Assembly of the TRNC Ziya Öztürkler. On the same day, the TURKPA delegation also took part in the opening ceremony of the Girne Military Hospital. On 15 November, the program of the celebrations for the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC began with the ceremony of acceptance of congratulations by the President Ersin Tatar. Then, the program continued with the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Lefkoşa. Celebration events were attended by the President Ersin Tatar, Vice-President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz, Chairman of the Assembly of the TRNC Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister of the TRNC Ünal Üstel, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Celal Adan, parliamentarians from Azerbaijan and Türkiye, ministers, representatives of political parties of the TRNC and Türkiye, other high-level state and military officials and citizens. The main part of the celebration events was held in Fazıl Küçük Boulevard. President Ersin Tatar and Vice-President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the celebrations. President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC. Following the folk dance show and concert of the Mehteran Unit of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, the ceremony ended with an official parade. The program of the celebrations also included receptions on behalf of the President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar and Chairman of the Assembly of the TRNC Ziya Öztürkler. During the visit to the TRNC, Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er was accompanied by the staff members of the TURKPA Secretariat Azar Mammadov and Alasgar Aghayev.
